Migrated to South Australia with wife Mary and their second son Edward in the
"Charlotte Jane" which sailed from Plymouth on 1 Oct 1851, berthing at Port
Adelaide on 17 Jan 1852. They lived near Woodside and Nairne until 1876 when
they moved to Mount Templeton in the mid-North of SA Thomas and Mary had seven
sons and one daughter.Mary died in 1881. Thomas remarried Catherine
(Crack). They also had nine children including 8 daughters listed at the end
of this list of descendants.
first marriage to William John Cornish who died 18 Dec 1880. Mary remarried
Albert Gawler Ashton on 6 Sep 1883.
