Just before beginning the hike.
The trip was fantastic and everything worked out great. We dropped off
Eliza to the airport on the way and we got the the visitors lodge at 10:03am
(we were suppose to be there at 10:00am).
We took 4.5 hours to get up to Camp Muir and we had a fairly good rest in the evening (at least the best you could with 18 other people all packed into the same hut). We got up at 1:00am and started hiking at 2. We made it to the top by 9:30am and then we got back to the parking lot at about 5:45pm.
It was a long and difficult hike, but (besides the sunburn and the sore muscles) it was GREAT!
