We get a new boat off of craigslist ... it's the Porta-bote! It is just 4 inches thick (when folded up), so it fits nicely on top of the car. We bring it down to the marina, spread it out (with the wood piece), put in the seats, the oars, and then we are ready to go!! The manual says it takes 30 min. to setup the first time and we got the boat all up and ready in 17 min!
