I have discovered another Brereton line based in Galt (Cambridge area) Waterloo, Ontario.

The line is from a sister of William Henry Brereton QC (died Hong Kong 1887). Her name is Mary Anne Brereton (a daughter of Francis Frederick Brereton  who was a Dublin solicitor & Elizabeth Johnston) who was born about 1810 in Dublin & died in Galt 1849.

Mary Anne Brereton married 17 Mar 1834 Dublin to Dr Samuel Richardson M.D. (born 03 Feb 1809 Ireland & died 23 Sep 1882). He trained in Dublin & practised as a Doctor in Galt (Cambridge) Waterloo region Ontario for over 40 years! He was also a warden at the Trinity Episcopalian church there and a master mason.

Mary Anne Brereton & Dr Samuel Richardson had 3 children-

1) Elizabeth Jane Richardson born c,1835 who married 15 June 1854 at Galt to John Dowker (born c.1824 Hamilton Ontario).

2) Aghmuty Richardson b.about 1842.

3) Georgina Richardson b.Sep 1847 Galt & died 07 Mar 1868 unmarried.

Dr Samuel Richardson later remarried to Anna Matilda Orr and had 3 more children all born in Galt:

Dr Samuel James Richardson (about 1851-1898), John Richardson (b.about 1852), and Margaret Jemima Richardson (1856-59).
