Subject: A saint connected to the Brereton family

Hello Bruce,

I was recently in the USA for a holiday and visited Priscilla Welman, widow of the late Gerald Welman. Gerald was the son of Geraldine Mary Welman nee Brereton and grandson of Brig Gen Edward Fitzgerald Brereton. I had written to you when I was trying to find Gerald and you kindly displayed my email on your website. I finally found Priscilla after much searching and I was able to pass all the papers and genealogy that had come into my possession to her.

Anyway, prior to my holiday we arrange to meet Faye Brereton Goodwin in Canada. We had a very enjoyable visit to see her. Obviously we talked Brereton things and I mentioned Ambrose Barlow who was the son of Sir Alexander Barlow and Mary Brereton, Mary Brereton daughter of Sir Urian Brereton.

I told Faye that you might be interested to see some of the information about the saint in the family - I have added some links for your interest.

I hope you find them interesting.

Best wishes,
